BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

I'll tell them. [No doubt he's worried Nana, too. And if Toki came back to him not being here... ah, he's really the worst.

But he starts forward, to the dormitory, not objecting if Gongenzaka follows him all the way to his room.]

Auh. But do not feel pressured to do so immediately, yes? [He assures the other, voice quiet.] If...

...If you need time, then I, the man Gongenzaka, shall give you time- and I am certain the others would also understand such...

[Or at least he'd hope they do.]

[He's sure they will, but Yuya shouldn't make them worry this much. He'd been a wreck when Kano had disappeared. And it's so unlike him, but he just couldn't handle it.

Yuya unlocks the door and pushes through first, leaving it open as he goes for his wardrobe for fresh clothes. Toki doesn't seem to be back.]

I...

[Gongenzaka notices that. He wonders briefly if he should even come in, before doing so anyway. If Yuuya wants him gone, he can leave but...

...

It feels as though he shouldn't be alone.] ...I, the man Gongenzaka, can wait here if you like? [He offers almost hesitantly.]

Yeah--that's fine. [Yuya doesn't really consider what 'here' Gongenzaka means, but he's also not about to argue. Clothes in hand he goes straight for the bathroom, pushing the door shut behind him.]

Mnh.

[Then...Gongenzaka will wait. Patiently, perhaps on Yuuya's chair or even simply on the floor of the dorm room.

...Hopefully...

...Hopefully, Yuuya will be alright, he decides. Even if he doesn't know what happened to make him leave anyway.]

[Yuya's in there for a while, sinking into the tub and staring at the ceiling.

It's almost an hour before he finally comes out, not looking any less weary but at least not smelling like trash.]

[And Gongenzaka...is waiting. A little blearily, but waiting, and already looking to the door by the time he comes out.]

...Yuuya? [he greets hesitantly, in case the other is still in no mood for conversation.]

... I'm sorry. [He leans against the wall, sinking a little without meeting Gongenzaka's gaze.] I wasn't thinking, I didn't want to worry everyone.

[Gongenzaka is silent for a brief moment, but slowly he shakes his head as sits with the other.] It...

...I, the man Gongenzaka, believe you. ...But if I may ask... ...what happened, that you felt you needed to leave?

... There's a daemon inside me.

[Which is just the beginning of why he felt the need to run, but there's no other way to start this, is there?] For... for a long time, probably.

Well he certainly didn't expect that.] ...A...Daemon? [After spending so much time with Daybreak's Daemons (not to mention teaming up with one to literally roll headfirst into the Herald), it somehow seems about as alarming as saying 'I had orange juice today'.

Somehow. He furrows his brows in thought all the same.] When you say...'inside', it is obviously not possession then but...

...If it has been that way for some time, then how did you come to learn about this..?

...Are...

...Will you be alright? [He adds more seriously.]

It is possession. [What else could it be? It's not like walking around with a daemon soul inside of you is normal.

He slides further down the wall, until he's sitting and he can hide his face behind his knees.] I was burned by Hikari when I first summoned them, but it wasn't normal. It burned like I was a daemon. Not... not just once.

I, the man Gongenzaka, mean to say that You yourself are still Yuuya, after all...

[But...oh dear.] Hikari- ...Auh...that is... [Right, Yuuya got another summon.]

Is...that truly possession then, or... [Or something else? He quiets himself before going down that path however, hesitantly, and slowly bringing a hand toward Yuuya's face- only for Yuuya to bury it in his knees, forcing Gongenzaka to place a hand at his shoulder instead.] ...Yuuya.

...Are you... ...Were you afraid of what others would say, about such a thing?

... I'm afraid of what it'll do. His memories were getting around. They might be what my nightmares really are. He's dangerous, and what about when he really decides to take over?

[Why hasn't he so far? Is there something he's waiting on... is it because he's too weak? That Yuya is?]

[Gongenzaka takes a moment to answer- partly because he doesn't really...have the answer. One can't deny that a daemon is dangerous. And if Yuuya has seen proof of it himself...well.

...But when he 'decides' to take over? Gongenzaka frowns.] If... ...If they have not...if they have not, even while you have been unaware, Yuuya...

...What if they never do? ...I...

...I, the man Gongenzaka...do not have answers for things such as this, I shall admit. But... ...if there is anyone who could help, could we not at least find out?

We can't just assume he never will and everything's going to be okay. [Not with what Yuya's heard about Zarc. Not when--when those people are going to take it seriously too. Has Serena already told them? He can't face her--he can't let her see him yet.] I don't even know if he's influencing me already.

No- but we can ask another for help, rather than hiding can we not? ...Yuuya.

[His grip is firm, and his expression equally serious.] ...Whatever may come of this, I, the man Gongenzaka, shall gladly stand by your side to help you through. And if a daemon with ill intend is indeed attempting anything to harm you, then we shall find the way to free you from that harm!

But we shall not fail in that, understand?

[Yuya takes a deep breath, before slowly looking up at Gongenzaka.]

... Do you remember the stories they told us about Zarc? [The mission briefing, back when they went to Shimohama.]

[It doesn't really take much to guess what daemon Yuuya has been talking about.

Gongenzaka nods.] Yes. Of course I do. I...

[.......................ohno] ...I, the man Gongenzaka...spoke to one of the people there...

[ohnotheshard]

They're going to know. [If they don't already. Maybe they always knew, and that's why Serena's here now and why she... it makes his stomach feel a little sick again, and he's glad he hasn't eaten for a while.] About me.

[..............................] ............Yuuya?

... [Abruptly, Gongenzaka appears to have a fairly anxious thought.] ...I, the man Gongenzaka... ...think it may be wise to ask one of our teachers...perhaps, one of the daemonic ones, about something...

[........] Specifically... ...You say that it has been 'a long time' yes?

[He grimaces, as if he already knows why that likely is.]

I've been... talking to Professor Valvatorez. He thinks it's Zarc, too, and Serena saw one of his memories. So, it has to be...

[Well, if they already thought Zarc was in Yuya, then it stands to reason that the memory Serena saw certainly came from him. He has the Demon King possessing him, and that's why he can't relax and accept 'maybe nothing will happen'. He was a monster.]

[...........................Deep breaths.]

.......Yuuya. I, the man Gongenzaka, have an idea, [He begins, swallowing.] However... ...Yuuya. I, the man Gongenzaka must ask- can you trust me, and stay here, and allow me to then ask Professor Valvatorez at your side, to see what he thinks of it himself?

[Because if Yuuya ran away once... ...

Well, at least it's Professor Valvatorez that was already involved. That makes things a bit easier at least.]

[Ah--Yuya pushes further against the wall, averting his gaze shamefully.] I can do it. I'm not going to run away again.

[He won't make Gongenzaka solve this for him. That's a terrible thing to put on his shoulders.]
