STATUS: Student Grade 9
ACCOLADES: (Here is a list of leading roles Yuya's has in school theater performances over the past two years, plus a glowing review of his familiar Odd-Eyes)
BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

i think since i was a baby
i don't know if they're worse
Toki says he doesn't care i just don't want to
no subject
You know how he is, he just says whatever he thinks people wants to hear???
What is it you want, if you don't care about bothering him?
People usually find it more comfortable sleeping in their own bed, after all.
no subject
but because he's not always honest i don't know how true that is
[Really, though, they're an excuse. Even Yuya can recognize that.]
we were talking about his problems and it's awkward right now
it'll be fine tomorrow
no subject
How do you expect it to be fine if you run away and ignore it?
Toki going "good morning, Yuya!!!!!!!!" means that everything is fine?
Didn't you just tell me how he is?
[ A liar, just like Kano is. Somebody who pushes people away and pretends things are alright, just like Kano does. ]
no subject
he doesn't want me to do anything
i was being pushy but there's nothing i can do
he said he'll keep getting help from the doctors
no subject
The doctors here are no good~
I have lots of bad ideas I want to try out, but!!!
I'm not going to get involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So do your best, Yu~ya~
no subject
but he said he'll keep trying with them right now
he's not really not okay
[A longer pause, and then:]
and you know Toki not being okay isn't your fault right?
no subject
I wouldn't know bc I've never been!
How far is Lyon from Soleil?
[ just ignores that question, which should be all Yuya needs to know about how Kano feels about that. ]
no subject
but bigger cities usually have better hospitals i think?
no subject
Better hospitals aren't in bigger cities, though??
There's sooooooooo many more people in bigger cities!!!!!!
It's not like Toki needs a brain surgeon or anything, he's fine~
[ What he needs is time and attention and large busy places like Daybreak or Lyon aren't going to be able to give him that. ]
no subject
[That sounds right... he guesses it depends though.]
he's really not fine
he doesn't need surgery but
i don't think he's ever been okay and when he lost his sister and became a seer it made everything worse
no subject
LOL
Death and magic sure do that to a person!!!!!!!!
Is he getting along with Kuroko?
no subject
yeah
i handle taking care of her but Toki likes having her around
but he was trying to train her to do tricks and wear a clown suit
she wasn't interested
no subject
LOL
Did she manage to learn any tricks?????
How come you don't ask him to take care of her too?
no subject
[That sounds bad but it's not wrong.]
i don't think he'd mean to but he lost interest in being responsible for her really quickly
and i don't want her to suffer because his problems mean he can't look after her properly
a cat's a lot more work
no subject
He looked after Tsuyukusa all that time, didn't he?
[ Tsuyukusa looked after himself. He also looked after Toki. ]
no subject
you know that was different
maybe if he ever wants to but i think he needs help first
[Like, a lot of help. Maybe Kano really didn't see it, and that's why things got so bad between them. He couldn't tell how lost Toki was.]
want to make a blanket fort?
no subject
"I'm not going to get involved," Kano said, like a liar. He's not giving up; things have already been in motion behind the scenes, and he needs some time too. So does Yuya. ]
Bring your blanket and all your pillows!!!!!!
no subject
i only have one pillow
but two blankets i'll bring them
[Quick makes it an extra ten minutes, but he shows up at Kano's door with two blankets (one of which is a worn quilt from home that's usually left in the closet), a pillow, and some sweats to sleep in under one arm, and in the other a bag of mushroom popcorn (luckily, the cafeteria knew what he was talking about) and two bottles of apple juice.]
no subject
Yuya gets to stand outside the door for two minutes before it swings open and Kano takes a step back- then a step forward to relieve Yuya of the juice and the popcorn. ]
Ahh, you brought drinks too! How good, now we don't have to drink tap water~ Can I keep the bottles after??
no subject
[He drops his bundle at the corner of his before pulling both blankets off the top.]
no subject
[ When Yuya pulls the blankets off the top of the bed, Nightmare comes tumbling down along with it, with Kano dumping the bottles onto the desk and jumping in just in time to grab her before Yuya gets smacked in the face.
Apparently, the bed is still Nightmare's domain. She gets lifted up and set in Kano's hoodie instead, where he can feel slightly choked by the weight. ]
Alright, so I've only really done this with a table with Toki, so you're going to have to walk me through it! Are the beds okay up against the wall, or do we need to bring 'em to the center of the room???
no subject
[Sorry Kano, sorry Nightmare... Yuya pulls the blankets more slowly this time.] No, against the wall is better because then we only need three blankets, so we can have one to sit on. Uh, the best way would be this.
[He shakes one of the blankets, holding it taut and then tucking one edge between the mattress and the frame--just enough to hold it while leaving most of it to dangle down as a cover.]
no subject
Think you can lift a mattress? Then we can set that on the ground under the bunk to sit on, instead of the ground!
no subject
Once the three blankets are up, Yuya collects the pillows from the top.]
