STATUS: Student Grade 9
ACCOLADES: (Here is a list of leading roles Yuya's has in school theater performances over the past two years, plus a glowing review of his familiar Odd-Eyes)
BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

Eventually, he can't stand it anymore, sneaks a hand over and pokes Yuya on the knee. ]

Then he forces his legs back down, acting like he didn't just do that.] What?
no subject
Sorry, sorry! Just wanted to tell you I'm going to the bathroom! Didn't want to just get up all of the sudden and scare you!
[ He's going to go hide in the bathroom for as long as humanely possible. Maybe he has severe constipation or something, he can play it off. ]

Hmm, okay! You can play around and stuff on your phone until I get back! I'll try to be quick!
[ Maybe Yuya can drain his battery and there won't be enough charge left to finish the movie. ]
no subject
He didn't have it to full charge, but it'll definitely be more than an hour before it'll actually drain.]

He knocked softly before leaning his ear to the door.] Kano...? Are you okay?
no subject
-—Uh, yeah! Just got an eyelash in my eye, it's taking a while to get out!! Gotta be careful not to rub it out, you know????
[ He goes back to sitting on the sink counter and zoning off. ]
no subject
He assumes Kano's going to be a while, so he grabs his sweats to change into them in the meantime.]
no subject
that dead kid from the movie, with the sack over his head that I would google to describe better but I'm a weenie and am too scared to. That kid. Because Kano thinks he's hilarious. ]

Kano gets decked in the face and stumbles backwards, illusion dropping as he clutches his mouth, blood dripping down past his fingers and spilling onto the ground. ]

Yuya drags himself into the fort completely before he scrambles up to poke his head out--] Kano!
[... Of course it was Kano. And he's bleeding, Yuya didn't think his throw was that good.
Ugh, Yuya crawls out of the fort and back to his feet and approaches Kano.] Is it your nose? Here, tilt your head back.

... But realistically there is zero chance Yuya could actually knock Kano's teeth out with his phone. But it's still really gross to see.]
Let me see where the actual blood is! [He reaches to put his hands to Kano's cheeks and tilt his head back, which actually makes it less visible since he's taller than Yuya but also he's really trying to keep what might really be a bloody nose from getting worse.]
no subject
I'm kidding, I'm kidding~ I'm alright, Yuya!!
no subject
I was going to apologize for throwing my phone, but I guess you got your amends. Don't do it again!
no subject
I won't, I won't!! Promise!!!!
no subject
He only torments Kano for a minute, before he releases him and grabs his wrist instead to pull him back to the blanket fort. Lights left on and phone forgotten on the ground, he's not really interested in starting the movie back up anyway.]
no subject
But alright, alright, he lets himself get dragged back into the blanket fort. So long as he's near Yuya, though, he can use his illusion to hide the little drips of blood on both their shirts; Yuya can discover it himself when he leaves the next morning. ]

Yuya flops back into the fort, grabbing one of the pillows and the popcorn before offering it to Kano. The silence sits between them for a bit while Yuya's heart calms down, and he half-buries his face against the pillow.]
... Hey, Kano. [He starts, finally.] Why'd you ask about what I like about you?
no subject
Kano settles back into the blanket and stares up at the bottom of the bunk bed, in the not-quite darkness thanks to the room lights being on outside. ]
Hmmm... Huh... 'cause it's the only time I'll ever hear something like that?
no subject
But normally, you always turn the conversation away from yourself. Even after I said it, you didn't want to talk about yourself anymore at all. So what was different then?
[For always trying to keep the focus on the other person, it's just a little surprising after the fact that he really wanted to hear it. So if he does...] Or why do you always avoid talking about it any other time?
no subject
It's different, isn't it? Me talking about myself, versus you talking about what you think of me?
[ Yuya talks about the surface him, the "Kano" that Kano projects and portrays. The person Yuya like is completely made up. So talking about that person doesn't matter.
Kano talking about himself... it's just a pain, because he's got to make things up on the spot, trying to make up a person who doesn't exist. ]
