BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

[Yuya grabs for Kano's hood to yank it over his head.] If you're cheating I'll kick your ass!

I'm not cheating, I'm not cheating!!! Maybe this is just karma!!!!!

[ Which would suggest the opposite, but he can't come up with anything better, giving a yell that's choked off by laughter as he tries to get loose from Yuya's grasp. His hoodie's going to fall apart any day now, be gentle with it. ]

Karma for who?! [Yuya While Kano wrestles from his grip, Yuya tries to push him over and sit on him.] Ask your question.

[suddenlybees]

Karma for being my friend??? I dunno??

[ His stomach hurts from laughing, and he's weak when he's like this too, easily pushed over and he just lets Yuya sit on him, because Kano can just keep his coin on 3 and not have to move from this spot the rest of the game anyways. ]

We can figure it out together! Here's my question: what's the last questionable thing that you did that you wouldn't admit to anybody?? We're secret keepers, remember!!

I don't run around doing questionable things like you do. [So what was the last sketchy thing he did that he wouldn't admit to anyone?

...] But I, uh. Broke into your room when you went missing in April to see if there was any clue where you went.

[suddenlybees]

...I can't believe it.

[ His voice drops, turning serious with the slightest edge of anger as he lowers his eyes at Yuya. ]

[suddenlybees]

[ and then-- ]

You went two whole months without doing questionable things???? How??!??!

[Yuya flinches, and wouldn't blame Kano for being angry because that's why he's avoided telling him.]

I don't know, I guess I just don't do as many things I wouldn't admit to if someone asked.

[So it is that they weren't questionable, or is it that Yuya's too honest... probably both.]

[suddenlybees]

[ He should probably be angry, but instead he's just sort of impressed Yuya even had the balls to do something like that— and maybe even a little touched that Yuya went out of his way to search for clues when Kano had disappeared. ]

If you're doing questionable things, you'd tell me, right~ Don't leave me out, Yu~ya! I want to play too!!

Sure, you're the first person I can count on if I need to do something questionable.

[... He's actually serious about that, but someone here needs to have some semblance of morals.

He moves his counter to five this time.] You going to keep your lucky number?

[suddenlybees]

Hm~

[ Kano looks pleased. That moral person will always have to be Yuya, though, so long as Kano's the only other person in the room. ]

Yep! I'll keep mine on three!

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya leans over to collect the cup and dice without getting off of Kano, rolling them on the opposite side of the mat. The first roll is a did for both of them, but on the second it's double fives.] Ah, I got it!

[suddenlybees]

[ Ugh, Kano's never going to be able to get up, that's fine. ]

A pity~ Alright! Ask away!!

[Yuya twists around, pressing his hands to the floot by Kano's head as he leans over him with a devilish grin as he starts all in English, for once.]

What are all the things Kano loves about Na~na~?

[suddenlybees]

I'm going to destroy you.

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya leans in closer.] Fair's fair, Kano. You started this.

[suddenlybees]

I asked an innocent question and you're bullying me???

[ How long can he stall... ]

[hippocarnival]

Hey now, my intentions between you and Nana are completely innocent. I won't relent until I hear it!

[suddenlybees]

[ Ugh........... Having Yuya sit on him until the end of time doesn't seem like a bad idea, compared to having to admit anything out loud. He can't even make up answers??? Well, he can, but like. Hmm. ]

I like that she goes out of the way for people, even out of her comfort zone... that she indulges me in whatever I want, and doesn't stay mad when I tease her. ...I like that she doesn't give up on me, and... It's comfortable being around her?? Something like that???

[If Yuya takes a wild guess, he'll bet Kano's blushing under his illusions. How cute--it's a lot of things he does for Kano too, though he trusts Nana to draw a harder line if necessary and that's why he's not worried about Kano taking advantage of her. Even if it's similar, Yuya knows there's something special in the way that Nana does it that he takes a much heavier feeling from it than if Kano were talking about him. She's graceless, the way she's there for people.

He reaches to ruffle Kano's hair with a laugh, expression as once going back to his usual perkiness as he slides off on Kano and lets him have his stomach back.] She's pretty great, isn't she? Ah, I think I'll stay with number five this time.

[suddenlybees]

[ The same things he loves about Nana can be said about all his friends to some degree. They're too nice to him, they try too hard for him, they don't give up on him and he's the one who gets mad every time that happens, and— in the end, maybe the most important point is that last one- they're people he's comfortable with. Lord knows he's never had people he felt comfortable with. Safe with. He wants to hang onto that. ]

Oh thank god, I thought you'd make me talk on and on because surely that's not all I could say about her—- aah, but no take backs, no take backs!! [ He remains lying on the ground, though he does roll over onto his side so he can see the dice. ]

Last one was just a fluke, so three it is!

[hippocarnival]

I'm not evil... I'd only do that to you if you did it to me first.

[Shake shake goes the dice. It's two more rounds, and then another pair of threes.]

... But don't get any ideas.

[suddenlybees]

[ ...haha. Alright, alright, here's something more self-indulgent, then: ]

I want to hear about all the things you love about me! All of them!! Don't leave any out~

Eh? [All the things he loves about Kano? Yuya's eyes flutter as he looks at Kano with surprise, for a moment, before a faint smile tugs at his lips and he turns his head forward, away from Kano, then looks up at the ceiling. All the things he loves about him, huh...]

I like that I can be so stupid with you, playing games and being able to joke around--it's easy. You'll do whatever it takes for your most important people, but I think you could make anybody feel amazing. You're clever, you won't give up on what matters to you no matter how hard. You're funny and fun, but when you can't be that's okay too. And I like when you share yourself with me, because... with you, I never feel like I'm not good enough. Like I'm not alone, being like this, and it's okay. I feel okay.

[suddenlybees]

[ If he didn't feel like dying before, he sure does not, feeling the heat rise at the back of his neck and he's stunned for a moment and even forgets to record this on his phone, just in case he can use it somewhere, somehow. Maybe it's better this way, so he never has to hear it again. ]

Okay, I'm going to object to most of that?? But in particular that past part!! Yuya!!!! You're more than "okay," you know that, right???

[ He gestures vaguely to the dice and the paper in front of them— who's the one who comes up with fun games like this?? who jokes around with him and makes it so comfortable to play games with- to actually laugh and not have it feel so forced even though he's still doing it. With Yuya, it's got to be more than "okay" ]
