BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

It's... [Yuya pulls up his phone to check the lock screen.] Almost nine thirty. We'll have enough time for breakfast.

[It's not as late as it could be, given Gon's usual powernaps to stave off the transforming weariness. That's probably why he's still so tired now.]

[betheman]

[Dude what-]

AUH...

Th...That early still?!

[hippocarnival]

[That prompts a snort and a wry, amused expression from Yuya.] You didn't even realize? I guess you've set your schedule a little too well if you wake up no matter what.

[Gon is a man of habits but, sometimes, he could stand to not be.]

[betheman]

A...auh...I, the man Gongenzaka, had intended to have extra rest but...

...w..well...I suppose, we are already this far...

[hippocarnival]

You can take a nap on my shoulder if you want. [Did he mean to say bus? Maybe he meant to say bus.

Which he boards without looking back, flashing his pass before maneuvering right to a window seat.]

[betheman]

[On- what? He blinks, flashing his pass mid-sentence.] Auh-

You mean, to rest my head there? That seems...a bit awkward perhaps...

[Your shoulder is way down there :[]

[Yuya laughs, leaning his elbow against the window as he looks out and doesn't offer Gongenzaka a real response to that. Since they were just barely on time, the bus starts up to take them into town almost immediately.]

[betheman]

Auh-! Yuuya... ...Yuuya, that is not...

[The bus starts moving, and he sighs, leaning back.] ...Nevermind, I suppose...

[Time for a drowsy bus-trip.]

[Yuya's pretty content to watch the scenery as they ride. The bus takes longer than the helicopter, but the peace and languid pace of it is nice right now.]

Are you going to get tea? [He should probably get caffeinated tea.]

[betheman]

Auuh. A black tea, [He huffs, nodding. Caffeine it is.]

[Yuya glances sideways to Gon, before gently nudging him with his elbow.] But you have to stay awake until we get there, okay?

[betheman]

AUHHH...

[OKAY, lifting his head,] Y...yes...I shall remain awake...

[It's hard tho,]

[Yuya's a little worried he's going to pass out at the actual cafe. He can't carry him back if he's out cold.

Yuya leans forward a little in his seat.] Did you have fun at truth or dare?

[betheman]

Mnhh...you mean...before the weekend? [He asks, blinking blearily.] ...Mnh, it was nice- I, the man Gongenzaka, was presented with...erm...

A 'voltrawr'?

Voltrawr...? What's that? Did you take a picture? [Fill him in with some context, here!

Yuya's glad to hear he liked it, though. Yuya knows dragging him out at that time wasn't ideal, but with the kind of moon coming up... well, he could stand to let loose and remember that he's not a pariah to the entire student body because he's a bear.]

[betheman]

Sadly...I did not. [Damn.]

Auh...Peter as well, dared for me to act as a chair for a time, [He notes dimly.] ...It did not seem much as a dare, but it was nice at least.

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya leans back in his seat, tilting his head.] You mean... he sat in your lap?

[What the hell did he miss.]

[betheman]

No, I was told to 'flop down', and then let him sit against me.

You have done that yourself, you know..! [He snorts, raising his brows. Don't you go making faces about Peter, you're just as silly!]

[hippocarnival]

[But he's never sat in his lap!!]

Oh. [Yuya relaxes immediately on the realization that there wasn't something going on between them, his face twisting into a smile.] I mean, you're so big and warm it's hard to help myself!

[betheman]

Perhaps that was his own thinking? [He shrugs.] At the least, it made for a good conversation I feel.

[hippocarnival]

I'm glad! [Yuya's smile is much more enthusiastic with that slightly jealous worry soothed.]

You talked to Orihime about your suit to the dance too, right?

[betheman]

Mnm-!

Auh-

[And that's about where he freezes. And a whole lot of things come back...

...And Gongenzaka deflates to a state not unlike mere days ago.] ...I...

...It did not go well, unfortunately.

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya's smiles slowly drops. He hadn't expected any conflict to come up between Orihime and Gongenzaka, of all people.] What happened?

[betheman]

...We were to shop together, with another...and...Toki, as it seemed, was the other...

[He stares toward the floor, quiet.] ...I, the man Gongenzaka, shamefully acted as if I were not one he knew, as he did not recognize me at first...but when he did, he cried, and shouted, until he could no longer breathe.

...Orihime-san...carried him to the infirmary, and insisted upon doing so alone. ...In case he awoke, and saw me again.

[....ah.]

[hippocarnival]

[... Ah. It was Toki. Yuya chews his lip, brow furrowing as he recalls how badly Toki handled even asking about Gon's lycanthropy that night. Evidently that wasn't a one time thing.]

I'm sorry. [Yuya reaches to put his hand over Gon's, reassuring.] It's... you've never had someone react this badly before. I don't really know what to do, either.
