BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

Mnh, there will be a dance first, presumably...

I, the man Gongenzaka, cannot say if there will be an announcement however. I only know, due to what Orihime said.

... So you still need a suit. [Yuya grins playfully.] Let's wait until they actually have a plan before we worry too much about a bunch of daemons. The school is not going to let us get murdered at the Valentine's Day ball.

[betheman]

NGAH-

THAT! That is not the point you should get from this!! What about Toki!!

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya leans back, bringing his voice back to normal volume.] I'm going to talk to Toki, but that's a different situation than the dance.

[Yuya pauses, then shifts awkwardly.] I don't think daemons are the same kind of problem for him.

[betheman]

No, but any lycan who will be fighting the daemons will be a more worrying image than one serving tea, I should imagine..!

[...Point.]

[hippocarnival]

Like you. [He knows Gon is going to fight the daemons.] It's still two different problems, they just might happen at the same time. I'm not going to wait until the dance to talk to Toki about it.

[And ultimately, they can't force him into anything either.] But you're focusing on him so much because you feel responsible for it, right?

[betheman]

...

.... [Yep. He looks away.]

...he claimed it was not my doing...and then broke into a fit of screaming, before passing out entirely.

...what am I to think...Yuuya?

[hippocarnival]

... I think you're too hard on yourself. [Which isn't new, coming from Yuya, but evidently it bears repeating.] There's so much more to you than being the poster child of a good werebear.

[He's not responsible for the injuries every lycan causes, and yet he continues to carry that whole burden on his back. He's one person.]

[betheman]

....What we say and think does not seem to have bearing on that, however.

[But...he recognizes this is going nowhere. So...]

You will...make sure he sees someone, then? [he says softly.] ...I know, we cannot force another, but...

For someone that I, the man Gongenzaka, have been trying to avoid...

[hippocarnival]

I can't force him to do anything. But I can recommend it. [Yuya reaches for Gon's hand again, holding it in both of his.] Just... remember whether he decides to get help or not, that's not on you okay?

[betheman]

[There is a sigh...but he does nod. So here's hoping.] Auh.

...Understood.

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya's touch lingers a second longer than it has to before he lets go. He knows they'll have this same conversation again, and his heart sinks that he can't talk Gongenzaka through his problems, either. But he's not giving up on his friend. Maybe next time, he'll have better words to say.

When the bus comes to a stop Yuya stands up first.] All right! Let's go get breakfast.

[betheman]

[There is always next time- and at the least, breakfast is a good distraction. He sits up with a jolt, and moves to follow the other, nodding.] Mnh- Right!

...La Lune, yes?

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya steps off the bus, shoving his hands in his pockets.] Right! I hope they have those croissants still... oh, and a danish.

[And milk tea. Yuya picks up pace, his mouth already watering as he thinks about the delicious possibilities.]

[betheman]

Recall, that we have a price limit, Yuuya... [Bit of nervous laughter from Gon, but he's right beside the other at least..]

[hippocarnival]

I have money! [Yuya huffs.] I haven't spent anything from New Year's yet.

[Let alone his monthly allowance his mom sends, and he's planning to just ask for money on his birthday so he has something for souvenirs when the drama club goes to New York. He's not really into the saving money thing right now, that's an idea for when he's an adult.]

[betheman]

I, the man Gongenzaka, am merely saying, you will regret it if you spend it all....

[It's true he will, as he always has, whenever he has. Theoretically he wouldn't do that on breakfast but hey.]

[hippocarnival]

No faith in me, huh? [Yuya teases before bouncing down the street and into the cafe.

They're able to snatch a table by the window, a seat across from the other, and Yuya does good on ordering a danish and croissant and milk tea. His and Gongenzaka's orders are quickly taken and fulfilled, and Yuya starts with taking a long sip of his tea.]

It's so good... this place is always nice.

[betheman]

AUH! For good reason! [He huffs, equally teasing in reality.

Gongenzaka, of course, has some sort of breakfast sandwich. Got to have those meats man.] Mn...it is...rather nice, yes, [he observes, sipping his tea.]

...Thank you for convincing me to come, Yuuya.

[hippocarnival]

I'm glad you came. [Yuya peeks at him from over his cup, before diving into the croissant with pour manners. He's practically stuffing it whole in his mouth.]

[betheman]

[He nods, even if he briefly grimaces at the way Yuuya attacks that croissant. Yuuya...] Hmn! How could I refuse, after all, hmn?

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya has manners where it counts.

He lifts his head, raising a brow.] You really wanted to go out to eat, huh?

[He doesn't first assume it's just spending time with him, given he feels like he's mostly dragged Gon along in his post-blood moon haze. Not for bad reasons, but he knows his friend has questionable focus right now.]

[betheman]

Mn? [With half a sandwich in his mouth, the answer will take a bit to get through- he gets there eventually, however.] Auh-

No, that is not it at all..! I, the man Gongenzaka, am simply saying...it is nice to share a meal out with you!

[God help this oblivious teenager]

[hippocarnival]

[That gives Yuya times to start attacking his danish, so he's got food halfway in his mouth when Gongenzaka speaks up again.

He ducks his head, gaze fluttering down as he smiles shyly.] Yeah... so are you feeling more awake?

[betheman]

[After a bit of silence, tea, and food- when the question comes, the answer seems to be yes. Gongenzaka nods, even while taking another bite of the sandwich.] Aaah. Much.

The tea here is rather good, for that...
