BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

Recall, that we have a price limit, Yuuya... [Bit of nervous laughter from Gon, but he's right beside the other at least..]

I have money! [Yuya huffs.] I haven't spent anything from New Year's yet.

[Let alone his monthly allowance his mom sends, and he's planning to just ask for money on his birthday so he has something for souvenirs when the drama club goes to New York. He's not really into the saving money thing right now, that's an idea for when he's an adult.]

[betheman]

I, the man Gongenzaka, am merely saying, you will regret it if you spend it all....

[It's true he will, as he always has, whenever he has. Theoretically he wouldn't do that on breakfast but hey.]

[hippocarnival]

No faith in me, huh? [Yuya teases before bouncing down the street and into the cafe.

They're able to snatch a table by the window, a seat across from the other, and Yuya does good on ordering a danish and croissant and milk tea. His and Gongenzaka's orders are quickly taken and fulfilled, and Yuya starts with taking a long sip of his tea.]

It's so good... this place is always nice.

[betheman]

AUH! For good reason! [He huffs, equally teasing in reality.

Gongenzaka, of course, has some sort of breakfast sandwich. Got to have those meats man.] Mn...it is...rather nice, yes, [he observes, sipping his tea.]

...Thank you for convincing me to come, Yuuya.

[hippocarnival]

I'm glad you came. [Yuya peeks at him from over his cup, before diving into the croissant with pour manners. He's practically stuffing it whole in his mouth.]

[betheman]

[He nods, even if he briefly grimaces at the way Yuuya attacks that croissant. Yuuya...] Hmn! How could I refuse, after all, hmn?

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya has manners where it counts.

He lifts his head, raising a brow.] You really wanted to go out to eat, huh?

[He doesn't first assume it's just spending time with him, given he feels like he's mostly dragged Gon along in his post-blood moon haze. Not for bad reasons, but he knows his friend has questionable focus right now.]

[betheman]

Mn? [With half a sandwich in his mouth, the answer will take a bit to get through- he gets there eventually, however.] Auh-

No, that is not it at all..! I, the man Gongenzaka, am simply saying...it is nice to share a meal out with you!

[God help this oblivious teenager]

[That gives Yuya times to start attacking his danish, so he's got food halfway in his mouth when Gongenzaka speaks up again.

He ducks his head, gaze fluttering down as he smiles shyly.] Yeah... so are you feeling more awake?

[betheman]

[After a bit of silence, tea, and food- when the question comes, the answer seems to be yes. Gongenzaka nods, even while taking another bite of the sandwich.] Aaah. Much.

The tea here is rather good, for that...

[hippocarnival]

[It's good to see him perking up. Yuya folds his fingers around his cup, tapping it as he wonders what to talk about. He looks put the window, then back to Gongenzaka.]

So, if there's going to be an attack... transforming would rip your suit, wouldn't it?

[betheman]

Mnh?

[Uh. He blinks.] W-Well...to begin with, I, the man Gongenzaka, cannot quite transform on command like that..! [IT TAKES FOCUS. AND ENERGY even at night. Holding back means making sure the 'transformation' doesn't actually knock him senseless.]

...But beyond that...did you never wonder, how my other clothes, manage..?

[hippocarnival]

You strip off whatever won't fit, right? Isn't a suit to be more tailored? [He gestures vaguely. It doesn't look good to add extra bagginess to account for fur and muscle changes.]

[betheman]

Mnh? Actually, most of that is because it is uncomfortable over the fur!

The fabric for our uniforms, is charmed; it adjusts to my stature!

[The More You Know...]

[hippocarnival]

So you're going to get your suit enchanted too? [Yuya pauses.] Are you going to get your shoes enchanted?

[He is... wearing proper shoes to the dance, isn't he...]

[betheman]

Auh...well, to be more accurate, it is the fabri-

[oi] Mnh? Why would I be enchanting my geta, Yuuya...

[hippocarnival]

... Are you really going to wear your geta with a suit? It's a dance.

[At least pretend to be there for the dancing part.]

[betheman]

[Gongenzaka blinks.] ...Why would I, the man Gongenzaka, not be able to wear geta to a dance?

[hippocarnival]

I didn't mean you wouldn't be able to... but why would you wear your geta for dancing?

[betheman]

W...Why would I not?

[hippocarnival]

Won't they be harder to dance in? [A pause. ] Do you even own anything besides those geta?

[Even Yuya has a nice pair of dress shoes.]

[betheman]

It would be just as difficult in shoes I am unfamiliar with, would it not??

More than this, I, the man Gongenzaka, do not wish to buy shoes I will rarely use!

[The suit at least, his mom will want pictures of,]

So you really don't own anything but those... [How has he not lost his toes to the cold. Sometimes Gon's a little too stuck in his ways, Yuya thinks.]

When was the last time we tried something new, Gongenzaka?

[betheman]

[Uhhhhh.]

....I, the man Gongenzaka, do not feel my shoes must be considered within that statement...
