BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

[yokeye]

[Toki takes a little longer than usual in the bathroom. He cries a lot in shower, and then spends a good three minutes just looking over his eye in the mirror. Maverick's healing worked really well. Maybe too well. He covers his right eye just to see if there's anything else Maverick's power did, but no, he's still blind. That might be something to try in the future though.

He gathers his dirty clothes and leaves the bathroom in just a towel, dripping water everywhere. He says nothing about Yuya staying; he never noticed the wallet and that Yuya had been about to leave when Toki got there.]

I think I need to do laundry~! Do you want me do yours too!?

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya's sitting at his desk, Kuroko in his lap by the time Toki comes out. He looks up, considering before shaking his head.]

No, I don't have enough. Do you want me to come with you? Just in case you have another vision...

[And try to gouge his eye again. just in case.]

[yokeye]

It's just down the hall!

[He considers this, though, while he throws everything into a basket. He can't stop looking over at the bloody clothes while he gets dressed.]

Maybe you should come. If you don't mind.

[hippocarnival]

I don't mind! [Yuya spring up, slipping his phone in his pocket and patting to make sure his keys are there so he can lock the door behind them.]

[yokeye]

[Toki still doesn't have keys. He should get on that one day.

The laundry room is empty as usual. Toki drops his basket with a thud and lifts the lid of washing machine. Grabbing the nearest detergent, he pours in a random amount. He picks up his basket and dumps everything into the washer. He never knows what to select for things, and he tends to do it differently every time. Today it's a regular cycle in cold water.

He turns to ask Yuya an important question.]

Do you think there's portals in the dryer to the Outlands and all of Maverick's missing socks are in Samura somewhere?

[hippocarnival]

What? [Yuya looks up, confused.] Uh.. no? Are you sure they're not just getting lost between loads or mixed up in someone else's by accident?

[He's just assuming this completely wild theory and concern comes from Toki entirely.]

[yokeye]

[It's most certainly a completely wild Toki theory, but Maverick was missing socks. Toki shrugs and hops up on the dryer to sit and wait.]

Maybe! I think it was all like the left socks or the right ones though and that's weird for it to always be the same ones, right!? How can even tell which one's for which foot!? Have I been putting socks on wrong my entire life!?

... I thought they were? Unless he has a lot of tabi?

[But like, he's assuming they're ordinary toeless socks and not tabi. How does he tell the difference between the right and left socks?]

[yokeye]

[A question for the ages. Toki shrugs.]

Laundry's boring!

[Which is why he has so much, waiting until there's barely anything clean.]

[hippocarnival]

[Yuya snorts.] It just started and you're already thinking about that?

[Yuya pulls himself up to sit on the table. He'd usually do things while he was doing a load, but he doesn't want to get Toki too occupied if he's gonna need to be ready to tackle him or something.]

[yokeye]

It started like twenty minutes ago!

[It's been three. He'd normally have left already to do something else, returning hours later only after realizing his clothes were missing.]

Did you have anything you wanted to do!? We can just come back here later!

[hippocarnival]

No way it's been twenty minutes. [He holds up his phone.] How long did you put it in for? So we know when to come back.

[yokeye]

[Toki jumps down the dryer to check the time.]

Forty minutes?

[He doesn't know. The knobs are confusing.]

It doesn't matter~! They'll just sit there when it's done anyway~!

[hippocarnival]

But you don't want to leave them too long before moving them to the dryer. [Or at least, his mom always nags him to move the laundry quickly.]

We'll come back in fourty minutes.

[yokeye]

[Toki doesn't see why leaving them in there would make a difference, but whatever.]

Okay! So, what do you want to do?

[He's trusting Yuya to keep track of the time.]

[hippocarnival]

Aren't you the one who was getting bored? [Yuya raises a brow, before his expression turns thoughtful.]

Maybe we should go see the nurses. Maybe they have something for you anyway.

[yokeye]

I thought going to talk to Professor Jailbreak was better...

[Suddenly laundry seems much more interesting than before.]

We should definitely stay! Keep an eye on things in case someone wants to steal something!

[hippocarnival]

She is the best for your seer stuff, but maybe they gave something just--for the meantime.

[Yuya can't help a little worry in his expression, looking pointedly at Toki's eye.]

[yokeye]

[Toki looks at the floor. He thought Jail was an alternative, not an addition.]

I'm fine right now.

[hippocarnival]

... Okay, but I'll be really unhappy if you try to take your eye out again!

[He tries to sound nonchalant about it but also: he's really afraid Toki's going to try and take his eye out again.]

[yokeye]

We'll deal with that when the time comes~!

[If Yuya's fine with this topic being talked about like anything else, Toki will do that too.]

[hippocarnival]

It'd be better if it doesn't come to that again.

[Please, he's stressed enough this month.] Do you want to stay or go?

[yokeye]

We'll just stay! Can't get into any trouble in here~!

[It won't come to that again. The next day, he'll find out Jail sees the eyes too, and there's no connection to the contracting daemon.]
