BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

Hm~ I wonder what everybody would think of that? Becoming a biker gang~

[ But first, he needs to get a bike. Second, he needs to learn how to ride a bike. Then dreams can happen!! ]

We could all ride over to the amusement park or somewhere to meet up and play and then go home, there's lots of freedom with bikes~

[Yuya nods emphatically, easily falling into daydreaming about driving around the amusement park on a motorbike. Maybe he can ask to learn to ride early, he's almost fifteen. That's old enough.

He brinks rapidly, trying to clear his blurring vision before turning back to Kano with a wide smile.] I want to do that. Thanks for letting me in your club, Kano.

--Hey, hey, can I ask about the place from before?

[suddenlybees]

No problem, no problem~ I'm happy to have you, you know?

[ It's kind of nice seeing Yuya happy like this, even if it's drunk happy, and Yuya's pretty much usually happy whenever Kano sees him unless there's murder going on somewhere. But this is good and he likes this too, sipping from his coffee and peering at Yuya over the rim of his cup. ]

What place from before? The cafe on our floor?

The big illusion! [Yuya gestures vaguely, lowering his cup.] Is it real? Do you know it, did you live there?

[suddenlybees]

Hm~ Part and part?

[ Haha, what a vague answer, but can he say it's real when it's an illusion? He has to know places in order to recreate them, but it's not like he has to have every little detail down to a T, and can pull things out of his own imagination too. The basic framework was his hometown, the places where the details are sharpest, but the rest of it... part and part. ]

What's up? You want to go skywalking there again?

[Yuya's shoulders ease a little, slowly weighed down by the alcohol. He's pausing his fervent drinking as it makes his head buzz, and he has to keep blinking.]

I want to hear why it's special to you. [In a phrase, anyway. Why he chose it to show Yuya, what about it makes it something that he could create in such well crafted detail. Maybe it's not all accurate with how big it is, but Kano has to have a reason for choosing it, right?]

[suddenlybees]

Special... Hmm, I don't really know! I guess it's just what's in my head? You stick around someplace long enough, it gets into your subconscious like that, like how dreams work? I could've shown you different parts of campus, but wouldn't that be boring?

[ That's as much as he'll allow, the admission that it's somewhere he knows very intimately, just through familiarity alone. It's not as if it's special in the sense that he's fond of the town, or even likes it very much. He'd sat in that park entire afternoons and evenings by himself, forbidden to talk to anybody else. He'd walked those streets on errands, doing everything he can to not lash out at anybody who looked his way, whispering behind his back as if he could not hear.

Special would've been the apartment he shared with his mother, but he can't let Yuya see that, or he'd worry even more, over the state of it. A part of him regrets showing Yuya as much as he has already; he really should've gone with Disneyland or something out of a movie... ]

So you did live there? [Yuya finishes his cup of liquor, but doesn't move to refill it yet.] Is it Tokyo? Lots of people seem to come from Tokyo to here. Like Nana!

[suddenlybees]

[ Kano goes ahead and refills it with something pink and very strong; maybe it'll knock Yuya out and he won't have to talk about this anymore. ]

Nah, not Tokyo~ [ It was just a normal little town in America, that he doubts anybody would recognize the name of or care, so he takes the chance to regain control of the conversation and turn the questions back around. ]

I've never actually been to Tokyo! Or Japan, for that matter~ How 'bout you? Is it fun over there?

[Yuya doesn't appear to even notice Kano filling his cup yet, shoulders sinking. But he's lucky, because Yuya is extremely easy to redirect like this.]

No... I'm from Sendai, and that's waaaaay north! [He points up for emphasis, his gaze heavy despite his grand gestures.] I've never visited Tokyo, but I want to. Toki's from there too!

[It's only then he looks down and realizes there's alcohol in his cup, after a second of staring, and then proceeds to bring it up to his mouth. He doesn't seem to be having a reaction to the potency anymore, or any of the hesitation he had earlier. As long as Kano keeps providing, he keeps drinking.]

[suddenlybees]

Heh~ It'd be cool if they'd known each other back then, right? Like childhood friends~

[ They've got eight or whatever bottles to go through, which is probably seven and a half more than they actually need, especially since only one of them is even drinking it. Kano doesn't even wait for Yuya to finish a cup before refilling it, instead just topping it off every time he drinks some and lowers the cup. ]

I wonder if someday we'll get a mission in Sendai? I want to see Yuya's home too~

They would have said something! [Yuya shakes his head rapidly spilling some of the alcohol while Kano is trying to pour him another. Yuya's not even the slightest bit aware of how much he's drinking, but it's catching up to the speed he's consumed it.

Yuya takes a heavy breath, closing his eyes as he starts to drink the new pour.] Kano should just... visit. I want to take everyone home with me...

[He starts to giggle at his own thoughts of how his mom would react to him bringing everyone home.]

[suddenlybees]

[ A mess... Kano moves the candle over closer to his side, just in case drinking alcohol can also catch on fire, he isn't actually sure how flammable this all is. ...It's really fortunate that he'd moved everything out of here when he did. ]

Can I really? Come over and play?? I wonder if the school funds things like that, trips home~

[ The last time Kano was invited over to a friend's house... He wasn't even invited, Kano had strongarmed Maverick into taking him home, but this time! it would be like a real invite! he would be invited!! ]

Yes! [What part is Yuya saying yes to?

He jumps slightly, swaying as he suddenly moves to grab Kano's hand in his and he laughs too loudly. Despite his grinning, his eyes can't seem to focus.] You can come play, I've never.... never brought anyone but Gongenzaka home!

We'll go, but not for my birthday, because we're going to Germany. [Apparently.]

[suddenlybees]

[ Oh geez— when touching isn't on his own terms, Kano freezes when Yuya grabs his hands, and after a moment pulls one of them away so he can refill Yuya's cup and give him something else to do with his hands. Fall asleep already, friend. ]

That's right, that's right, you told me your birthday before, didn't you? What was it? Leap day? Weren't you going to spend your birthday money on the theater club trip?

[ Why are you rich!! Lucky, how can you just tour around Germany like it's no problem, and Kano can't even leave campus by himself without guards breathing down his neck. ]

[Despite the flush on his face, Yuya's hands are cold. But that's probably just the season, right?]

I did? [Yuya fumbles with the cup when he doesn't expect it, and it promptly tumbles out as his hands go slack, spilling all over the ground.

His expression starts to blank out. It's getting way too hard to think, trying to remember one trip from another and focus on Kano's face at the same time.] That's New York... right? Right?

[suddenlybees]

Right, right... We're going to New York~ Are you excited?

[ Too much alcohol and a non-insulated shack really don't help matters; Kano jump up onto his feet when the alcohol spills everywhere, and blows out the candle just in case, plunging the room into darkness. It's fine for him to still sort of see, and the room is tiny enough anyways so long as Yuya doesn't accidentally kick of the bottles, so he ducks under one of Yuya's arms to haul him outside, maybe a blast of cold air to the face will bring some coherency back. ]

Yeah... [He's cut short, because as soon as Kano hoists him up his head starts spinning, everything blurs out all at once.

Yuya's knees buckle and his head rolls back as it all goes dark, and he's completely limp and collapsing without Kano holding him up.

He's still cold, but less normal is how slow he's breathing. But maybe it's fine. Maybe.]

[suddenlybees]

—Uh.

[ Hey? Hey???? Wake up?????

Kano lightly slaps Yuya on the cheek. And when he doesn't respond, he slaps harder. ]

[Nope, nothing. Yuya's completely unresponsive, eyes closed and not even so much as flinching when Kano smacks him. There's just enough warmth and breathing to signify he's alive, but sick.

Well, more accurately poisoned. And this is why you don'tdrink hard liquor like it's soda.]

[ What is Hieke's emergency sigil?? He needs Hieke.......... As much as Nekano deserves to be a hero cat, he's going to need a more direct line of communication if he wants to get medical help, so Kano goes ahead and assumes the face of the most boring, plain person he knows. Sorry, Minako's brother, yours is one of the few faces Kano is familiar enough with through having known him for years, plus I have ready icons for Minato and that's the most important thing. "Minato" hauls Yuya's arm over his shoulder and proceeds down the stairs as best he can with dead weight. It's going to be bumpy, sorry for your shins, Yuya. He has a no good, very bad idea, but it's not going to be something he wants to get caught on his floor doing, so Yuya will have to die in his own room. Sorry for invading your privacy, he's going to dig through Yuya's pockets for the room key, unless it's already unlocked (stop leaving your doors unlocked, kids, even if it is super convenient) ] Anybody home...?

[It's unlocked, because Toki's here. He slides the notebook he'd been looking under his mattress when the door opens. No one needs to see that yet.]

[ Oh... Toki's here. That's both good and bad, although it's not really disrespecting Tsuyukusa's last wishes if Minato is a real person, right? One that hardly leaves his room in Aube, so Kano knows he won't be given away, but also has a sister in this dorm so he reasonably can be here. ] ...Um. Tokidoki, right? Can I borrow your shower? [ Ignore the fact that he's hauling an unconscious roommate behind him. ]

[yokeye]

[Uhh. He doesn't know this kid. He's only talked to him on the Network about devil names.]

Sure, why not~!?

[He doesn't care. However, the unconscious roommate cannot be ignored. Kano should have made him invisible or something.]

Yuya! What happened!? Is he okay!?

[Toki's away from his desk and hovering in less than a second.]

Uh. [ The great thing about impersonating Minato is that he's always just sort of quiet and slow, so he takes Toki's questions as completely rhetorical ones and lets Yuya lie on the ground for Toki to hover over him, maybe wake him up with all the noise. But when that doesn't happen, he can at least be a little reassuring. ] He's breathing. Alcohol on his breath, though... [ Toki... you drink. You're the one person who probably knows about this stuff?? Or maybe not, if he also just gives in and blacks out and wakes up the next day acting like nothing's wrong. ] I read that cold showers might work for hangovers, so I wanted to borrow your shower. Pour cold water over his head.
