BIO: Hello! You can call me Yuya. I'm from Sendai, Japan. This is my second year in Daybreak Academy. I'm a Tamer, and Odd-Eyes is my familiar. He's the big red dragon that hangs out in the courtyards. He's friendly but he tries to steal food sometimes. I speak Japanese and English but not very good French. I'm also in the theater club. I'm in Lumiere 203. Let's be friends!

[01/26] - The Cat

[yokeye]

[Toki is waiting in the hallway for Yuya to return from wherever. Probably having breakfast with Gongenzaka or something. He still hasn't found his keys, or even looked, and the door was locked.]

[hippocarnival]

[Breakfast with Gon is probably a fair guess. Since it's saturday he's dressed out of uniform, goggles bouncing against his collar as he hops up the stairs and swings down the hall to his room.

He raises his hand in greeting as he sees Toki, assuming he's leaving.] Hey!

[yokeye]

Hey!

[He's going to hang around until Yuya opens the door, like he'd just gotten back himself and hadn't been leaning against the wall in the hallway for the last twenty minutes.]

Do you want a cat~!?

[hippocarnival]

Eh? [Yuya pauses as he fishes his key out to unlock the door.] You mean for the dorm...? Why, do you want one?

[yokeye]

Yes~! I was going to keep the vomit devil as a pet, but White Chain decided she wanted custody after all, so Orihime said I should go to Soleil and get a pet; she didn't know about Tsuyukusa, but we can always use more pets~! So, we're getting a cat if you want one~! You can come with us today and help pick it out!

[He had pretty much waited until the last minute to ask Yuya, and wasn't giving him much time to decide.]

[Vomit devil.

Yuya's not going to ask. Toki seems enthusiastic about this cat, anyway.

Yuya holds his hands up, silently urging Toki to yield a little.] Okay, okay! We have to get a lot of things, then... are we splitting the cost?

[yokeye]

No, it's fine! I have money~! You should make a list of things~! I've never had a cat before!

[hippocarnival]

You sure? [If they're splitting responsibility, Yuya doesn't mind splitting the cost either. Though he has less disposable income.

He crosses over to his desk, pulling out a paper and a pen to start jotting the list down.] We'll need bowls, and food, a little box, litter, toys, a brush...

[yokeye]

[Cats sound like way too much work.]

I guess you should pay half, then it's half yours~!

[And Yuya can be ultimately responsible for it. Toki will just play with it.]

[hippocarnival]

[Toki is just lucky Yuya is a softy who can't deny an animal once he has it.

He assumes Toki's feelings are changing over the cost, instead of irresponsible intentions. Yuya smiles wryly as he grabs his wallet.] Sure. You said Orihime is coming?

[yokeye]

Yeah, whenever you want to go~! She wanted to go out to eat too~!

[hippocarnival]

Maybe this afternoon? We should probably eat first, and then go to the per shop after that.

[So they're not either wrangling a cat or scaring it by leaving it in a kitty crate for hours.]

[yokeye]

That works~!

[He of course had not even thought of those things.]

[hippocarnival]

I'll let you call her up, okay? [He puts his wallet and the list back on the table.] what about at one?

[yokeye]

One sounds fine~! I'll let her know!

[He sits by the window to hang out with Tsuyukusa while he texts Orihime.]

You're getting a friend, Tsuyukusa~! I promise it won't eat you~!

Great! [Yuya shoots him a thumbs up. That's still a few hours away, though, so Yuya decides to follow through with his original plans.

He goes to his wardrobe, digging through the unfolded piles in the drawers to pull out some workout clothes.] I'm going to the gym, but I'll be back and ready before then.
